Emotive, Storytelling Family, Maternity & Newborn Photography in Kelowna & the Okanagan
There’s something incredibly meaningful about photographs that feel like memories.
Not just perfectly posed portraits, but images that hold emotion, connection, movement, tenderness, and the quiet beauty of a fleeting season of life. That feeling is at the heart of everything I create.
My photography style is rooted in organic, emotive storytelling blended with soft fine-art portraiture. As a Kelowna and Vernon photographer serving families throughout the Okanagan (and Vancouver - yes, I’ve been busy!), my goal is always the same: to create timeless imagery that feels natural, heartfelt, and deeply personal. Whether I’m photographing maternity, newborn, or family sessions, I focus on documenting genuine connection and authentic emotion.
I’m drawn to soft natural light, gentle movement, neutral tones, and environments that feel calm and familiar. Rather than overly posed or heavily styled images, I create space for real moments to unfold naturally. The way your child reaches for your hand, the quiet in-between glances, or the anticipation of welcoming a new baby are often the moments that matter most.
The experience itself is intentionally relaxed and comfortable. Many families tell me they arrive nervous about being in front of the camera, but quickly settle in as the session feels more like time spent together than something being performed. I gently guide when needed while allowing space for natural interaction, movement, and connection to lead the way.
I think that’s one of the reasons families across Kelowna, Vernon, and the Okanagan connect so deeply with this style of photography. The images are not only beautiful, they feel honest. Soft and refined, yet full of warmth, intimacy, and life.
Over the years, my work has become known for its romantic, natural aesthetic and calm emotional tone. From golden-hour maternity photography in the Okanagan, to cozy in-home newborn sessions in Kelowna and Vernon, to playful family sessions outdoors in nature, every gallery is created with the intention of preserving not only how this season looked, but how it felt.
Because long after the newborn stage has passed and children have grown, these photographs become more than portraits. They become reminders of connection, tenderness, and the beauty woven through everyday moments.
And those are the memories worth holding onto forever.
