Q: What outdoor locations do you shoot at?
A: For a forested backdrop of pine trees and fresh snowfall in the winter, Kim offers four acres of private forest along Silver Star Road. Other beautiful spots include Sovereign Lake Park, the Grey Canal Trail, and scenic areas around Kalamalka and Okanagan Lakes, including Cosens Bay, Kekuli Bay, Kal Beach, and north Okanagan Lake parks such as Ellison Provincial Park and Kin Beach.
Q: What is the best age for newborn photos?
A: Newborn sessions are scheduled for 2-4 weeks after your due date, however Kim works throughout Vernon with babies of all ages. 1-2 months captures more expression and interaction, and 6+ months captures baby’s milestones - sitting up, crawling etc.
Q: What is the best time for maternity photos?
A: Maternity photos can be captured anytime between 28-38 weeks to ensure your belly is nice and round for the photos. For the comfort for the mom-to-be, we aim for 32-34 weeks, or earlier for outdoor sessions to leave room for potential weather rescheduling.
