“Kim did an amazing job capturing photos for our maternity session. She was so considerate, patient, and flexible with our preferences and was so kind and fun to work with on the day of. The make-up, hair, and client closet was also super convenient and saved us the hassle of trying to figure that out ourselves. Kim's creativity and skill definitely came through our photos, which were stunningly beautiful. We love our photos so much and would highly recommend Kim to anyone wanting to capture their special family moments.”

FAQs

Q: What Vancouver neighbourhoods do you serve?

A: Kim has worked with many families across Mount Pleasant, Kitsilano, Yaletown, Olympic Village, East Vancouver, Burnaby, Kerrisdale, Point Grey, Jericho, False Creek, and UBC, as well as surrounding suburbs such as South Surrey/White Rock where she lived for several years, Burnaby, Delta, Richmond, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Langley, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford, and into the Fraser Valley.

Q: What outdoor locations do you use?

A: Crescent Beach, Blackie Spit Park, and White Rock Beach are favoured by Kim for their gorgeous sunsets, tidal flats and proximity to her studio option in South Surrey, while some other preferred locations are Iona Beach, Jericho Beach, and Golden Ears Park. Each location has very specific spots that are best used for photos. During your consultation, Kim will get to learn more about you and will guide you in selecting the perfect location.

Q: What is the best age for newborn photos?

A: Newborn sessions are scheduled for 2-4 weeks after your due date, however Kim works with babies of all ages. 1-2 months captures more expression and interaction, and 6+ months captures baby’s milestones - sitting up, crawling etc.

Q: What is the best time for maternity photos?

A: Maternity photos can be captured anytime between 28-38 weeks to ensure your belly is nice and round for the photos. For the comfort for the mom-to-be, we aim for 32-34 weeks, or earlier for outdoor sessions to leave room for potential weather rescheduling.
