Why I’m the Best In-Home Newborn & Family Photographer

There’s something truly special about photographing a family right where their story is unfolding: at home. And now, I’m thrilled to offer these in-home sessions throughout the Okanagan, including Kelowna, Vernon, and even up to Kamloops. Alongside images from a recent session I photographed in Vancouver, I’m excited to share why my approach stands out.

After nearly nine years of photographing over 1,000 babies, I’ve learned that new parents crave two things: comfort and simplicity. My in-home sessions are designed to give you exactly that.

I Bring Everything
There’s no need to shop for tiny outfits or worry about finding the “perfect” swaddle. I bring a curated collection of newborn clothing, accessories, wraps, and props so your little one is perfectly styled without you lifting a finger. I also provide wardrobe options for mom… soft, flattering pieces that photograph beautifully and feel comfortable during postpartum.

You Get Hair & Makeup Done Right at Home
Every session includes professional hair and makeup for mom, so you can feel confident, refreshed, and fully taken care of. No rushing out the door. No stress. Just a moment to breathe and feel beautiful.

Your Home Doesn’t Need to Be Photo-Ready
This is a big one. I specialize in in-home photography, which means I know how to adapt to any space and lighting situation. You don’t need a magazine-worthy home, and you definitely don’t need to tidy up for me. I need only a small cozy spot with some soft window light to create timeless, heartfelt images you’ll treasure forever.
