IPS BASICS
If you’re already a photographer and hoping to start or improve your business, the best investment you can make is in ensuring your business is set up for success. The photography industry is notorious for having too many newcomers who do not put the work into setting up a sustainable business, so there is high turnover of people coming and going from the industry. As an IPS photographer (in-person-sales) with an education and background in marketing and business management, Kim is passionate about raising the industry standard by delivering value to clients, so the industry can continue to be run by artists and clients can continue hiring you for their milestones. For this mentoring session, Kim will sit down with you at your computer for 2-3 hours and work behind the scenes on your business. During the meeting you will:
Discuss your business specialty, target client, values, and goals
Establish an IPS workflow that works for your business
Run a CODB analysis to help determine your pricing
Create a simple 1-year marketing plan that looks beyond social media
Review your website layout and areas for improvement
Review your current SEO to ensure your ideal client is able to find you online
Required for this course is your laptop and Microsoft Excel or a similar spreadsheet software.
