Vancouver Family Photography at Golden Hour | Serving Richmond, Burnaby & the Lower Mainland
This beautiful outdoor location near Vancouver is one of my favourites because it offers so much variety while still feeling peaceful and natural. It is a hidden gem that I love sharing with my photography clients, which is why I keep the exact location reserved as part of the experience I provide for my families.
With sweeping meadows, wildflowers, winding trails, mountain views in the distance, driftwood, and the ocean nearby, this location is perfect for families who want a relaxed outdoor session full of connection. Kids love exploring the trails, playing on the logs, picking flowers, and enjoying the freedom of being outdoors. Dogs are welcome too, and a nearby dog-friendly beach along the river offers the perfect golden hour ending with soft sand and warm evening light.
For this Vancouver family and maternity photography session, we chose a soft neutral colour palette with beautiful texture. Second-time mom-to-be wore a cream pleated dress with subtle lace overlay from my client closet, while her daughter wore a timeless white eyelet dress with ruffle sleeves. These classic pieces complemented the natural landscape beautifully and kept the focus on their connection. Hair & makeup was done by Preet from Faye Smith Agency, in the comfort of the family’s home before their session.
My outdoor family sessions are relaxed, playful, and storytelling focused, capturing the genuine moments that make your family unique. I serve families throughout Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, and the Lower Mainland, including North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster, and Surrey.
I have limited Vancouver-area dates remaining for the rest of summer and into the fall, with a few session spots still available. If you've been hoping to capture your family during this beautiful season, it's not too late to reach out and plan your session.
